An Agritourism or as they also known farm stay, is any land based farm or business that is open to the public. These specialized farms generally offer things to see, things to do, and produce or gifts to buy, and are open to the public at least some parts of the year. Some are open 365 days, some only open for a few weekends in the fall. All offer a unique farm experience and are generally appealing to all members in a family.

Messina in Sicilia - Falconieri Fountain
Work of the architect Carlo Falconieri, this fountain was built to mark the ancient celebrations of Madonna della Lettera in 1842. After a long period of storage in the museum, it was reassembled and placed where it now stands in 1957. It once stood at the centre of piazza F. Juvarra, and was in fact designed to be observed from all sides and to echo the shape of the piazza. Its decorations are neo-Attic in style and almost completely based on plants.
The iron sea monsters at the corners of the fountain were added four years after its completion. This work is one of the few surviving examples of the talent of the achitect Falconieri, who also designed a charming gothic-style villa (Villa Landi) situated between viale Regina Margherita and viale Boccetta.
